Repurposing food that would otherwise be thrown away might sound like dumpster diving, or saving the planet, or necessity - depending on your point of view. 

But Lucinda Croft is turning it into a most powerful, civilised and friendly affair - creating tables of delicious food and genuine friendship, and delivering high-quality fresh ingredients to individuals and families in the local community.  And she’s determined to use it to support people who are on a journey from just surviving, to properly thriving.

We discuss the surprising impact of building community, the powerful part that food can play, the value of tables, and the joy (and strategy) of creating win-win-win connections.

The Wholesome Warehouse is a voluntary organisation seeking to help vulnerable families and individuals, including women escaping domestic violence, refugees, and those affected by homelessness. Throughout the year, they:

Lucinda Croft left a successful acting career to become Managing Director of the globally acclaimed interiors company, Dragons of Walton Street. Today, her entrepreneurship continues as a Director of Light Up Trails, but she has also become a social entrepreneur in West Sussex.  She and her husband Simon founded The Wholesome Warehouse in 2020, and they secretly hope their story will inspire you to do similar things, in your own community.
